Patricia Furlong

Patricia Furlong was born in Porto Alegre in 1955 and graduated in Plastic Arts from the Armando Álvares Penteado Foundation (1980), when she began her artistic career. For two decades she developed her work in collective workshops in São Paulo; in 2004 she moved to the current atelier in Granja Viana, Cotia, and this change had a significant impact on her work. The artist participated in several individual and collective exhibitions, in Brazil and abroad, such as the individual exhibitions SIGLA at Galeria Logo in São Paulo (2012), The Perfect Garden at the Penteado Gallery in Campinas (2010), Scratchcard at the Center Maria Antonia in São Paulo (2004), Fences in MAM São Paulo (1993); the fairs SP-Arte and SP-Foto in 2010 and 2013; the Look and Choose and The State of Art collections at the Figueiredo Ferraz Institute, Ribeirão Preto, in 2014 and 2016. She also participated in two editions of the Panorama of Art in MAM / SP (1987 and 1999) and the Havana International Biennial, Cuba, in 2002. 

 She has works in public collections like Figueiredo Ferraz Institute, Ribeirão Preto; Pinacoteca do Estado, São Paulo; Padre Anchieta Foundation, São Paulo; Museum of Brazilian Art, São Paulo; Museum of Contemporary Art, São Paulo; Casa das Onze Janelas, Belém, among others.
